BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS
EASY MIX
“I don’t like a clean-lined,
‘less is more’ contemporary
look at all,” says Joni Webb,
of Houston. “That's not
me.” Instead, Joni calls on
white linen slipcovers,
animal prints, and French-
style antiques for a fresh
take on traditional she
terms “French-Houston”
style. Her mix—ballet
slipper-style tie-on chair
cushions camped out next
to a bold suzani—requires a
trick to give the room its
polish. “I think symmetry
makes it look intentional,
not accidental,” she says.
Joni used identical end
tables, matching side chairs,
and matching lamps and
shades to pull it all together.
